North are five points clear at the top of Guernsey's Senior County League Division One after crushing bottom side Rovers 5-1 on Tuesday night.
Rovers took a surprise early lead before two quick goals from North saw them take a 2-1 lead at the break.
Simon Tostevin hit a hat-trick, Craig Young got two and Glyn Dyer the other as North hit four second half.
The win was welcomed by North boss Mick le Prevost after his side were knocked out of the FA Cup by Bels on Saturday.
And speaking to BBC Guernsey, Le Prevost paid tribute to Rovers, who have still yet to pick up a point this season.
We're out the Cup now and we've got the league to play for. Every game we play in the league is like a cup final now
North manager Mick Le Prevost
"They battled really hard last night. I was quite impressed with the and their work-rate."
And he says with North no longer having any interest in the Guernsey FA Cup, his side are focusing solely on winning their first island title since 2007.
"We're out the Cup now and we've got the league to play for. Every game we play in the league is like a cup final now.
"I think the league's going to be close, there's some good teams out there. We've got to try and prepare for every game the best we can and try and perform the best we can," he said.
