Weather plays havoc with football

Football

Bad weather played havoc with Guernsey's football programme as heavy rain forced the abandonment of Saturday's entire fixture list.

It meant the much-anticipated match between leaders Belgrave Wanderers and second-placed North was called off after the Track was deemed unplayable.

The pair will now replay their match on Tuesday, 10 March.

The other game in Senior County League Division One between Rovers and St Martin's was also called off.

The game has been re-arranged on Saturday, 21 February.

The Guernsey FA Cup tie between Elizabeth College and Sylvans did go ahead but was moved to Sunday.

College had to give up home advantage and saw themselves knocked out of the competition as Sylvans won 2-0 at St Peter.
