| Tuesday, 1 October, 2002, 21:27 GMT 22:27 UK Cambridge 0-7 Sunderland Sunderland put under-pressure manager Peter Reid in seventh heaven as they served up a goal feast against Third Division Cambridge. Reid, already cheered up by the 1-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday, had the pleasure of seeing 10m signings Tore Andre Flo and Marcus Stewart come good with two second half goals each. Cambridge keeper Shaun Marshall had looked like having one of those inspired nights as he made three fine early saves - but it descended into a nightmare. Marshall pushed out a shot from Julio Arca and then flung himself both ways to finger-tip away a shot from Flo and a follow-up effort from Arca. But after he was deceived by US international Claudio Reyna's 25-yard free-kick which went round the outside of the wall, there was no way back. Five minutes later Gavin McCann gave Marshall absolutely no chance, meeting a cross from the impressive David Bellion and crashing an unstoppable 25-yard shot past him. The match was effectively over as a contest and Cambridge were sunk without trace in the second half. Stewart, recalled for this match, repaid Reid with two goals - both of them straightforward efforts. After Arca scored in the 54th minute with a shot which went through Marshall's legs, the Argentine was replaced by Thomas Butler, who quickly made his mark. Butler curled a right-foot shot just wide of the post and then teed up Stewart by laying the ball off for the striker to stroke it past Marshall. Two minutes later Marshall was presented with an even easier goal when the keeper failed to hold a harmless cross from Bellion and the ball dropped straight to his feet. Not to be outdone, Flo added the final two goals, driving home number six in the 75th minute as his shot took a deflection before beating Marshall. Flo had the final say when he beat the offside trap to slide home his second goal - and Sunderland's seventh - in the 83rd minute.
