Weather calls off cricket finals

Mark Latter
Latter said they will play the critical matches

The traditional play-off matches in Guernsey's evening cricket league have succumbed to the poor summer weather.

The semi-finals for Division One were due to be played this week.

A series of postponements during a wet July has meant they have been sacrificed in favour of getting the original league fixtures completed.

GCA President Mark Latter said, "We'll isolate those games that are critical in terms of promotion and relegation... hopefully the weather will be kind."
