Mick King beat Hedley Ablitt one up to claim his fifth Guernsey Senior Golf Championship at La Grande Mare on Sunday. Ablitt took the lead at the third and was 3 up at the turn. King reduced the deficit by one on the 15th and then parred the next two to level the match. Ablitt found the ditch on the last, meaning that a par from King was enough for him to defend the title he won in 2008. King will now play the Jersey senior champion, George Keen, for the Channel Islands Championship at L'Ancresse on Saturday, 12 September.
