13-year-old Aimee Ponte dominated the competition to take the main title in the OSA Recruitment Guernsey Junior Golf Open at L'Ancresse this weekend. Ponte took the senior women's title earlier this year and has cut her handicap down by one shot to five. "Shooting a nett 75 off a handicap of six in challenging weather conditions was phenomenal," said Guernsey Junior Golf President Bill Le Huray. "It was an outstanding day's golf from this young lady," he added. Tom Pattimore took the scratch prize with a 73 gross and Danny Carre come in second scratch with 79. Ryan Moore from Alderney was the Red tee winner with 38 Stableford Points having never played the L'Ancresse course before and runner up was Alex Dick-Cleland with 34.
