Your Tour experiences and comments
Sadly Erik Zabel won't be at the race this year, which is a real blow to sprint fans. He's responsible for one of my favourite Tour moments. I was travelling round Europe back in 2000 and decided to take in a bit of the Tour. We were in the grandstand as the sprinters burst round the corner and into the main straight. Initially Zabel looked to have been beaten but put in a final burst. Robbie McEwen almost hung his head in shame at his failure to win the stage. But it all happened so quickly, quite beyond my expectations.
