Premier League newcomers at West Brom
West Brom are back to give the Premier League yet another crack, this time under the astute guidance of manager Tony Mowbray.
He has not made wholesale changes but has tweaked his Baggies squad, bringing in just two players yet to taste the delights of English football in Marek Cech and Gianni Zuiverloon.
Left-back Cech, 25, comes in from FC Porto for 1.4m and has 29 caps for his country Slovakia as well as Champions League experience. He can push up into a midfield role when required too.
The 21-year-old Zuiverloon is a typically classy 3.2m Dutch defender who impressed Mowbray on a pre-season tour in 2007 and was in Uefa's Euro 2007 U21 Championship team of the tournament.
"We've got a very talented young footballer who is eager to prove his qualities at the highest level," said Mowbray. "I'm delighted he's joined us."
