Premier League newcomers at Bolton
Bolton boss Gary Megson has been busy revamping his squad after leading the Trotters to an impressive escape from relegation last time around.
His most extraordinary signing was the purchase of Swedish forward Johan Elmander for about 10m. Yep, Bolton spent 10m. A club record, of course.
Elmander is a multi-talented footballer with searing pace who can play across the forward line and is equally adept at setting up goals as he is scoring them.
"I felt a good feeling in my body right away," says the 27-year-old of Bolton's interest. "Then I met Gary Megson and there was even more positive energy coming into me." Crikey.
A more unknown quantity is that of left-winger Mustapha Riga, 26, from relegated Levante. Along with Claudio Rigano, his goals just about spared El Granotes from a season-long embarrassment last term.
With speed to burn, the dreadlocked "bullet" will be hoping to gun down Premier League defences. Sorry.
