Premier League newcomers at Chelsea
Deco has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. So when Spanish giants Barcelona revealed he was surplus to requirements, there was only ever going to be one destination.
The Brazilian-born, Portuguese maestro with the raised eyebrows and sublime passing skills will bring a new dimension to Chelsea under Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Don't worry about his work-rate, either. He'll make it look like Frank Lampard is strolling - those derbies with Real Madrid aren't a walk in the park, you know.
He suffered through lack of form and fitness last season as Barcelona's golden team fell apart, but was back to his best with some imperious displays at Euro 2008.
Joining him for 16.2m is fellow Portuguese Bosingwa, a right-back from FC Porto. "He's not worth that much," says Alberto da Silva, a journalist for A Bola newspaper.
"I think Chelsea's current right-back Paulo Ferreira is a better player." Whoops.
