Nuneaton 0-3 Hereford

Hereford stunned Nuneaton with a three-goal blast in 10 minutes to clinch victory at Manor Park.

Steve Guinan opened the scoring for the visitors after 53 minutes when he rose to head home Michael Rose's pinpoint free-kick.

Four minutes later, Jamie Pitman doubled the lead with a powerful header from the edge of the area.

And just after the hour-mark, Paul Parry sealed the win with a ferocious strike from 18 yards.

Hereford had the better of the opening exchanges and Nuneaton goalkeeper Steve Hodgson had to be alert as early as the third minute when he produced an impressive save from Rose's drilled effort.

Defender John Turner should have opened the scoring for the home side after 13 minutes but headed wide from six yards.

Hodgson produced another spectacular save on the half-hour mark when he tipped over Rose's wayward cross.

Then Parry went close for the visitors twice in as many minutes. First he was denied by Lee Howey's brave block and then the midfielder lashed a long-range effort just wide.

Hereford emerged from half-time with renewed purpose and it was not long until they had clinched victory and stunned Steve Burr's side.
