Ryan Hurley has been rewarded for a superb 2003 season to date.

The aggressive all-rounder has been in stunning form in this year's regional championships for Barbados.

He has hit a total of 337 runs and taken 18 wickets with his off-spin.

But his most impressive outing came with a superb 116 off 104 balls against the Windwards.

Prior to 2003, though, Hurley struggled for any consistency in first-class cricket.

Three years ago he retired from the fuller version of the game altogether to focus on limited-overs cricket.

His decision was finally rewarded with his first international call-up by the selectors this week.
