Right-handed batsman
Right-arm off-spinner

Off-spinner Banks became the first player from the island of Anguilla to make it into a senior West Indies squad when he was called up ahead of the second Test.

The 20-year-old got the nod ahead of a clutch of spinners with Test experience after impressing against the Australian tourists in a warm-up match.

Justin Langer and Steve Waugh both fell victim as he returned second innings figures of 3-65.

The performance took his career haul to 54 wickets at an average of 37.53.

A solid lower-order batsman, he has a highest first-class score of 75 in three seasons with Leeward Islands.

And he has also served time England, playing second XI cricket for Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
