Two first-half goals helped Brackley extend their unbeaten National League run to eight games as they came away 2-1 winners from bottom-of-the-league Gateshead.
Zak Brown's composed volley put the visitors ahead in the 17th minute as he met a cross at the back post.
Kian Harratt then made it two for the Saints 11 minutes later with his first goal for the club.
Gateshead pulled one back in the 79th minute through a Mark Beck header.
But it was not enough for the home side to salvage anything as Brackley ended a run of four successive draws to move up to 14th.
