Altrincham have signed experienced striker Kane Hemmings.

The 34-year-old spent last season in League Two with Barrow but failed to score in 14 league appearances.

He started his senior career with Rangers and has also had spells with Barnsley, Dundee, Oxford, Notts County, Burton, Tranmere, Stevenage and Crewe.

Hemmings could make his debut for Altrincham, who have not disclosed the length of his deal, against Halifax in the National League on Friday.

Altrincham have signed central defender Reuben Lopata-White on loan from Premier League club Leeds United.

The 20-year-old is set to spend the first half of the season with the National League outfit before returning to Leeds in January.

The club confirmed he is contention for Saturday's opening away game of the new National League season at Sutton United.

Lopata-White has come through the Leeds academy and gained some senior experience last season on loan at Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton.

Altrincham have signed Liverpool youth product Andy Firth as a goalkeeper-coach.

The 29-year-old, who played league football for Barrow and Rangers as well as serving under current Alty boss Neil Gibson at Connah's Quay Nomads, has most recently been goalkeeping coach for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq.

Altrincham winger Charlie Kirk has signed a new deal to remain with the Robins next season.

The 28-year-old played 37 National League games for Alty last season after joining from Barrow in June 2025.

Altrincham have signed forward Kristian Dennis and goalkeeper Owen Evans.

Dennis, 36, joins having left Tranmere Rovers, where he played for three seasons in League Two.

Evans, 29, moves from League Two Barnet and has made more than 150 EFL appearances in his career.

Dennis said: "I'm looking forward to starting pre-season training, getting to know the lads and the coaching staff and gearing up for the new season.

"It's great to be here and I'm looking forward to playing in front of the fans. The season can't start soon enough."

Their arrivals make it six summer signings for Alty boss Neil Gibson so far, and he says he has watched Evans over the past 10 years.

Gibson said: "He's become an excellent senior goalkeeper after being a highly regarded youngster at Wigan Athletic and playing for Wales Under-21s.

"He sets really high standards, has got a wealth of experience at National League level and was heavily involved in Barnet winning promotion to the EFL in 2024/25."

Altrincham have re-signed midfielder Liam Humbles from Rochdale on a permanent deal.

The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Altrincham, making 19 National League appearances and scoring three goals.

Humbles also spent time on loan at Moss Lane during the 2024-25 season when he was with Salford City.

Altrincham have not disclosed the length of the contract.
