ET TU BRUTE?

It is with great saddness that I have to declare my going over to the other side! I will shortly be returning to the land of my fathers, and will naturally become one of "them". Yes with a heavy heart I am moving to the mainland and will in time become a.......... VISITOR! I will lose the use of my mirrors, indicators and half my gearbox(1st and 2nd only no reverse).I will stop on blind summits to photograph that rare bovine species Heelancoo, hurtle along at walking speed to admire the sounds of revving engines and gnashing teeth. I will also look to the Beeb Gaelic website to find the meaning to the phrase "maveyerars ya'kinntoorist", a quaint greeting to strangers no doubt.
How I will miss the the potholes so masterfully nurtured through my council tax, potholes to be proud of. I've always maintained that Scotland in bloom is yesteryear, we should flaunt that which our own Prince Pothole oor the water does best "sinkholes".
Alas poor ranter I knew so well, I wish the Clan Blog all the best for the future and who knows I MAY BE BACK!!!
