Sir Walter, I presume?

Yup it's that time of year again, RALLY! The town is full of "TEAM ANORAK", or similar, wandering the streets awaiting the big off. Tunnocks are doing the sponsorship (hope I'm not banned for advertising?), and here's hoping that at last something falls off the back of a lorry...... I do believe it's to be dry again this year, just won't do, makes everything so much easier, ahem... I hope the local matadors do well again this year a hat-trick from the Duffys would be a real treat, but who cares who wins? It's the taking part that counts. Must say the crowd of Rally Junkies that come with, are a great bunch and for once we can't complain they drive too slowly. Here's to another successfull and entertaining weekend, looking forward to the "pig on a stick", and hopefully I won't be busy.
ps. Did you get it Walter Raleigh? Yeah, I know don't give up the day job......

"Win or lose they're in it for the Booze"

Well, who would of believed it, the heroes of '04 were out before the first stage was over! The 2005 Tunnocks Tour of Mull, was anything but business as usual. All the biggies fell by the wayside and for a wee while another of the local heroes (the O'Donnell "twins") nearly lived the dream, but as all things Scotland go, it was not to be. We were unfortunately kept rather busy over the weekend, thank the stars nothing major but a steady stream of bashed and broken bits were huckelled through the doors. One or two had to go to the big smoke for treatment but at time of going to press I believe it's more damaged pride than anything serious. I managed to miss the teacake eating competition, I can only imagine the carnage, it was reported that the venue looked like something out of the first 20 mins., of Private Ryan. Great fireworks on Sunday and Pig on a Stick monday. There the Duffys hoisted their Trophy (not the big Prize this year), and declared it a great success as more booze fits into this one! Well it's over for another year and as always all heroes and no villians, (can't say the same for the sevens, Stirling take note).
As for futties, I was working but I can describe the noise if you want................

Moans and groans involving health and what passes for roads on Mull. Oh, and the odd pot-shot at "visiting" drivers.
