A Scottish Soldier - November 2005

I recently moved house, did all the right things phoning/writing everyman and his dog about address change etc. Even gave the above mentioned 3 weeks notice, and lo and behold they moved the number, they moved my "package", they forgot to move my broadband. Now after phoning the above company and listening to the nice lady telling me to press this once, then proceed to give me a dozen or so other options, press this again, stand in the corner on one leg and press that. Now face south press 7-5-23-41-( was I listening to the talking lottery?)-12-3 and on and on and on. I believe I pressed a total of 16 buttons listened to the entire range of Mozart/ Handel/ Rimsky-Korsakoff, eventually got a nice lady who sympathised with me explained that it was the wrong help desk put me through La Triviata and eventually to the "right" desk who explained that the order had been processed but my Broadband was with the Engineers, and could I phone back in 5 working days..... Aw hud me back.
