Your Health

No, sorry it's not a toast. I see that the Powers that be have decided to extend their Public Consultation on Health in A&C*. I also notice a lack of public meetings for the Islands. I wonder if people are aware of what is planned for the future? It seems that we are more than happy to "travel large distances" to be given the best Treatment. Sorry, but I thought we had no choice. The little choice we do have is in grave danger of disappearing altogether.
We should be happy though because as services are being moved to where they're most needed,i.e where the most people live (sarf of the Clyde), the people in call centres will be able to handle our needs. It's funny but I've heard of people contacting NHS direct etc, to be informed they knew nothing about the arrangements for Out of Hours cover on Mull. Is this the thin edge of the wedge?
I am interested to know what you all know of the changes in store.....

Moans and groans involving health and what passes for roads on Mull. Oh, and the odd pot-shot at "visiting" drivers.
