9 stars who have smashed their Beyoncé covers in the Live Lounge

Sound the ‘London Grammar is back in the Radio 1 Live Lounge’ klaxon! Fresh off the release of their latest album, Truth Is A Beautiful Thing, Hannah, Dan and Dominic popped in to see Clara Amfo and covered none other than Beyoncé.
But the Brit trio aren't the only ones to channel Bey in the Live Lounge. From Craig David to Zara Larsson - and, of course, London Grammar - here are 9 stars who have successfully smashed their own Beyoncé covers in the Live Lounge.
London Grammar - All Night

The goose bump-generating London Grammar gave us all the feels (and chills) with their rendition of All Night, a track from Queen Bey's Lemonade.
gnash – Hold Up

i hate u, i love u singer (and apparent hater of capital letters) gnash hit the Live Lounge in June 2016 for this piano and strings-accompanied cover of Beyoncé’s Hold Up. Sadly he didn’t wear a yellow dress and swing a baseball bat around, but it was magical all the same.
Rag’n’Bone Man – Freedom
(Warning: third party content may contain adverts)
Just last month, Rag’n’Bone Man put his own spin on Queen Bey’s Freedom, replacing Kendrick Lamar’s rap with a verse from Dead Prez’s They Schools.
Haim – XO

Cast your mind back to February 2014 and those wonderful sisters Haim joining us in the Live Lounge. Their ethereal cover of XO is one of our all-time faves.
Zara Larsson - All Night

Another day, another star putting their spin on Bey's All Night. This time it's the turn of Swedish pop queen, Zara Larsson, and it's safe to say that we're bowing down right about now.
Christine And The Queens – Sorry
(Warning: third party content may contain adverts)
We love it when an artist brings a track into the Live Lounge and truly makes it their own, and that’s exactly what Christine And The Queens did with Bey’s Sorry. From sassy R&B jam to dreamy eighties electro-pop track, this one has to be heard to be believed.
Angel Haze – Drunk In Love
(Warning: third party content may contain adverts)
Taking on Yoncé AND husband Jay Z is quite something, but that’s exactly what Angel Haze did back in 2014, adding her own rap verses to Drunk In Love and giving it even more sass than the original. Skateboardt.
Oh Wonder – Crazy In Love
(Warning: third party content may contain adverts)
Adding an indie vibe to this pop/R&B classic is no mean feat, but Oh Wonder totally pulled it off when they visited the Live Lounge back in 2016, and made us Crazy In Love with their cover.
Craig David – Say My Name
(Warning: third party content may contain adverts)
We couldn’t do a round-up of Beyoncé Live Lounge covers without including Craig David’s mash-up of Destiny’s Child classic Say My Name and Solo 45’s Feed Em To The Lions. So silky smooth. We could listen to it 7 Days a week (sorry).
