DESCRIPTION: South East
The South East is the largest of the UK's Euro constituencies, and has 10 seats up for grabs, down one from the last set of elections in 1999 due to the EU's expansion. Its 83 parliamentary constituencies include Kent, Buckinghamshire, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey. At the moment the Conservatives hold five seats, Labour two, and the Liberal Democrats two, with one apiece for both the Greens and UKIP. The European elections use a PR electoral system and parties will probably need around an 8% share of the vote to win a seat.
