The DUP's Jim Allister and Sinn Fein's Bairbre de Brun were elected at the first stage. The total valid vote was 549,277 and the total poll was 554,744. There were 5,467 spoiled votes.
John Gilliland, Eamonn McCann and Lindsay Whitcroft were eliminated at the second stage. Transfers from these three candidates were distributed between Jim Nicholson and Martin Morgan.
