Nalbandian is making his debut in the main draw and playing in only his fourth Grand Slam.

The young Argentine made a splash at last year's US Open, coming through qualifying to reach the third round and upsetting Nicolas Escude en route.

He won his first senior tournament on clay at Estoril in April, beating Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Moya on the way.

Nalbandian plays tennis right-handed, but is a natural leftie - writing and throwing with his other hand.
