21 Max Mirnyi

DOB:06.07.1977
Nationality:Belarussian
World Ranking:28
Previous Wimbledon results:
2001 ::second round
2000 ::second round
1999 ::did not play
1998 ::did not play

Mirnyi has a powerful serve-volley game which can trouble the very best, as he proved in Hamburg this year where he beat Pete Sampras and Carlos Moya.

Nicknamed 'The Beast' for his imposing 6 ft 5 in frame and aggressive style, Mirnyi is an excellent doubles player.

The Belarussian knows what it is like to win a Wimbledon title, having captured the mixed doubles in 1998 with Serena Williams, and this year he should beat his previous best showing in the singles event.

With his current form, he could be a dangerous floater.
