| | Wednesday, 22 May, 2002, 16:36 GMT 17:36 UK Bell to meet old friends Ulster skipper Andy Ward in action last season Stephen Bell will be meeting up with former colleagues next season when Ulster face Bedford in a pre-season friendly. Bell, a former Ulster scrum-half, is now captain of Bedford who will repay the visit Andy Ward and his side made last season. Ulster are due to meet Bedford on Friday, 16 August at Ravenhill. Bell, who was part of the Dungannon AIB League-winning side in 2001, moved to Bedford last summer and immediately hit it off at his new club. Ulster will also have a first when they tackle French side Castres at Ravenhill on a date yet to be confirmed. Castres, Jeremy Davidson's former club, were defeated by Munster recently in the Heineken Cup semi-final. An Ulster A side will face Holland at Ravenhill on Saturday, 17 August. | |
