| Wednesday, 12 February, 2003, 16:06 GMT Hendon targets quick return Peterborough defender Ian Hendon is anxious to return from injury as soon as possible to help in his side's battle against relegation. The right-back, who joined from Sheffield Wednesday last month, has been out of action with medial ligament damage sustained on his Posh debut. Hendon said: "It's been very frustrating for me. "But the injury has been improving day by day and I hope to be available for the Stockport game next week. "I have been doing some work in the gym strengthening the knee. I am feeling a lot better and with a bit of luck I can start stepping up the training soon. "I'm looking forward to playing again - I just want to be involved," he told his club's website. "I have a bit of experience from my time at Sheffield Wednesday struggling against relegation and hopefully that might help Peterborough." |
