Peterborough lifted themselves further clear of the Division Two drop zone with another solid defensive display in a goalless draw against Chesterfield.

Chesterfield had most of the possession and created a number of chances but Posh held on, and Fry's men have now not conceded a goal away from home since Boxing Day.

That record would have ended had Chesterfield produced sharper finishing, with Glynn Hurst and David Reeves both missing clear openings.

Rob Edwards also shot wide when clean through in stoppage time, but Peterborough almost snatched the points when Andy Clarke's effort brought a good save from Ben Williams.

David Farrell was also denied by a last-ditch tackle from Chesterfield's Alan O'Hare.
