| Tuesday, 18 February, 2003, 20:49 GMT Bees game abandoned Brentford 0-0 Colchester Brentford's game against Colchester at Griffin Park was abandoned at half-time because of a frozen pitch. Although many players had been losing their footing in the opening exchanges, they continued to make the best of the conditions. Scott McGleish hit the Brentford woodwork late in the first half, while Bees striker Kevin O'Connor fired the home side's best chance over the bar as the teams went into half-time on level terms. However, with the playing conditions rapidly deteriorating, Kent referee Phil Crossley decided to abandon the game during the interval. The match was originally scheduled for New Year's Day, but was abandoned because of a waterlogged pitch.
