The former Sheffield Wednesday defender, who made his Posh debut against Northampton on Saturday, suffered medial knee ligament damage after an awkward challenge. And on Tuesday he told the club's official website: "I twisted my knee as I landed after a challenge and I was forced to leave the field. "It was disappointing and it took the shine off the win." Striker Leon McKenzie has had a cortisone injection in a bid to clear up an ankle injury he sustained in the 1-1 draw against Colchester on Boxing Day. And manager Barry Fry remained confident it would assist his return. Fry said: "Leon went to see the specialist and had a cortisone injection. "If all goes well, he should be available for selection in 10 days but we will have to see how it goes. He needs a few days rest and we will re-assess it later in the week." |
