Taylor met with the Professional Footballers' Association for a second time on Wednesday to discuss the possibility of the players' union helping the club meet their current wage bill. "I would describe the meeting as positively constructive," Taylor said. "The PFA are coming back to me in two weeks' time when I have put the full package together. "The full package means additional investment and I would want about 1.5m to keep us going until the end of the season. "I'm confident of getting that, but it's still a case of people saying `we will do this, if you do that and we will do that if they do this."' Taylor also confirmed the appointment of Mel Machin as part-time advisor to manager Mick Wadsworth. |
