Terriers try to lift embargo
Huddersfield Town are hoping to have their transfer embargo lifted to allow them to sign a replacement goalkeeper.

A groin injury to on-loan Southampton keeper Scott Bevan has left Terriers boss Mick Wadsworth with only Phil Senior, who has started just one League game for the club, to call on.

Town are under an embargo because of help needed from the PFA to pay wages earlier this season.

They hope they will be permitted to bring in another keeper to help their fight against the drop.

Chairman David Taylor said: "If Scott Bevan is out for four or five weeks then I am sure we would be able to bring in a back-up keeper.

"We do have an embargo but the FA could make particular concessions in extreme cases.

"We would have to make a case to the Football League and the PFA in order to bring someone in," Taylor told the club's website
