| Saturday, 9 November, 2002, 18:26 GMT Stockport 1-1 Cheltenham Stockport produced a spirited fightback to grab a share of the spoils in a draw with Cheltenham. Former Blackburn striker Ben Burgess spared the home side's blushes with his first goal for the Hatters just before half-time. Burgess, who has been absent for most of the the season with a knee injury, was on hand to slot the ball home from inside the six-yard box after a brilliant ball from the right from winger Ali Gibb. Cheltenham had gone in front through towering striker Julian Alsop, who also scored from close range. Both sides created a string of good chances and Cheltenham could have won it late on, but Alan Blayney saved brilliantly from Martin Devaney. Stockport: Blayney, Challinor, Clare, Tonkin, Gibb, Briggs, Hardiker, Goodwin, Fradin, Burgess, Beckett. Subs: Spencer, Daly, Ross, Wild, Lambert.
