Huddersfield 0-0 Wycombe

A brilliant point-blank save by Wycombe keeper Frank Talia preserved a point for the visitors in the goalless draw with Huddersfield.

Talia reacted swiftly to turn away a goalbound Martin Smith shot just minutes after the visitors had been reduced to 10 men.

Wanderers defender Danny Senda was brought down late on and was then sent off after raising his hands to Town's Kevin Sharp.

The red card prompted the lacklustre home side into life and they laid siege to Wycombe's goal in the closing stages.

Wanderers boss Lawrie Sanchez took off midfielder Steve Brown, who fought a running battle with Town's 19-year-old debutant Jon Worthington throughout, before he got into further trouble.

Huddersfield: Bevan, Sharp, Clarke, Moses, Jenkins, Worthington, Scott, Mattis, Thorrington, Stead, Smith. Subs: Senior, Schofield, Irons, Macari, Brown.

Wycombe: Talia, Vinnicombe, McCarthy, Thomson, Senda, Brown, Simpson, Ryan, Bulman, Faulconbridge, Rammell. Subs: Rogers, Currie, Harris, Cook, Dixon.

Referee: C Boyeson (E Yorkshire)
