Bristol City's six-match winning run was ended by Colchester, who twice fought back to claim a draw.

City took the lead when Lee Peacock slotted home after a good run by skipper Tom Doherty.

Colchester stepped up a gear in the second half and deservedly equalised with a stunning strike from Thomas Pinault.

Peacock regained City's lead with a fine diving header, but Colchester levelled again when Bobby Bowry fired home from close range after Alan White's header had only been partially cleared.

Both teams went flat out for a winner and City substitute Liam Rosenior was only inches wide with a shot from a tight angle in the closing stages.
