Heather Watson will face Russia's Yana Buchina in the last eight

Guernsey's Heather Watson took one of her biggest scalps in her career as she came from a set down to beat the world junior number 10 on Thursday.

Watson beat France's number two seed Kristina Mladenovic in the Eddie Herr International tournament in Florida, United States.

The 16-year-old lost the first set 7-6 in the tie-break before taking control.

She dropped just five games in the next two sets as she won them 6-3 6-2 to make it through to the quarter-finals.

Watson will face the number six seed Yana Buchina of Russia, who is ranked one place lower than her at 35 in the world.
