The business end of the season is upon us and we're certainly up for it. The result on Friday night didn't go our way, however it is still early days in the race for the semi-finals. All who attended the game at Bristol will agree the intensity was immense. Coming off the field it was definitely a feeling of three points lost rather than one gained. Everyone in the changing room afterwards knew that it was an opportunity missed. The desire and hunger for the game was evident, but our accuracy in certain areas let us down. This week we have a 'must win' game at home against old rivals Plymouth. For some, simply beating them will be satisfaction enough, but the points in the play-off pool are invaluable to our hopes for a semi-final place. We have been working tirelessly to learn all we can about our opponents each week for the play-offs, with groups of players putting in hours and hours watching dvd footage. We want to be as best prepared as we can for the next five games, as ultimately this is what we as a squad will be judged on. Take it from me, training has been fantastic recently, the urgency and commitment from everyone has stepped up and there are no excuses for this weekend. I hope to see many familiar faces up at Camborne on Sunday, supporting the boys. Let's hope we have a repeat performance of the last Plymouth visit. I think we would take that!
