Guernsey are in their first season and have played Jersey three times

Guernsey Ladies Rugby Club lost 40-0 to Jersey United Banks Ladies at Footes Lane on Saturday.

It was the third time the two sides have met since the Guernsey team formed before the start of this season, with Jersey taking all the honours.

Geraint Cooper, development officer and coach, said: "They're disappointed to lose but know they played well.

"Jersey have been going for a lot longer and their experience was the thing that told in the end."
