The newly-formed Guernsey Ladies Rugby Team suffered a big loss in their first official game as they went down 53-12 to Jersey Ladies Banks on Saturday. Captain Daisy Scott said the team was not deflated though as their opponents have been playing since 2006. She said: "We're a brand new team that's only been together for a couple of months... I thought it was quite good for us. "The girls who've never played before got stuck in which was great to see." Scott said: "I couldn't have asked for more - everyone tried their hardest, didn't stop running, didn't stop tackling it was great." The men's 1st XV lost 14-30 to Tottonians in their first home game in London 2 South West, the division they were put in following a pre-season league restructuring. Both matches were played at Footes Lane.
