Loveridge hopes to compete at the 2012 Olympics in London |
Guernsey's Alice Loveridge has been handed a tough group draw in the women's table tennis at the Singapore Youth Olympics. The 16-year-old will take on seventh seed Li Isabelle Siyun, number 10 seed Ayuka Tanioka and Julia Wu in Group F. The top two players in the group will progress through to the last 16 of the competition. Loveridge is the only table tennis player representing Great Britain at the Youth Olympics. The Sarnian's passage to the Olympics came in April after she beat Moldova's Sofia Polcanova at a qualifying event in Cairo.
