Bacchas A moved clear at the top of the Mixed Hockey Premier Division with a 2-1 victory over Vikings A.

Captain Jamie Brown scored twice for the Tromode side to seal victory, while David Millward was the only Vikings player to find the net.

The victory gives Bacchas a two-point advantage over rivals Valkyrs A, who do not play until Monday night.

Elsewhere Castletown Celts secured a close win over Bacchas B with Lois Watterson scoring the game's only goal.

At the bottom of the table, Valkyrs B claimed their first points of the season with a 4-2 victory over Vikings B, who are yet to win a game this season.

Jonathan Hull, Vic Ferns, Oli Lockley and Steven Lowe found the net for the westerners with Richie Gelder and Ash Dougal scoring for Vikings.
