Bacchas and Valkyrs level on points at top after draw

Bacchas A and Valkyrs A are level on points at the top of the Mixed Premier Division after a 1-1 draw on Saturday at the National Sports Centre.

Captain Greg Miller found the net for the westerners but his opposite number Jamie Brown equalised for the Tromode side.

Castletown Celts returned to winning ways with a 5-0 victory over Valkyrs B.

Christian Steriopolous scored a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Don Stewart and Sven Lindeque.

Elsewhere, Bacchas B beat Ramsey A 3-2 in a closely fought match. Goals from David Whiting and two from Tony Bentley-Roberts proved enough for the Tromode side.

In Mixed Division One, Saracens Sabres maintained their position at the top of the league with a 6-1 victory over Harlequins A, Steve Cottier netting a hat trick.

Castletown Cammags ensured their unbeaten record remained intact with a 3-1 victory over Valkyrs C, while Vikings C continued their impressive run of form with a 4-0 victory over Ramsey Ravens.

Meanwhile, Bacchas C were held to a 2-2 draw against Castletown Cushags.
