Guernsey Ladies Basketball Team will be without influential former captain Liz Kerr as they begin their National League campaign this weekend. Kerr, who was last season's top scorer, has retired due to injury. Ladies Coach Pat Ogier told BBC Guernsey: "The entire team has been used to playing with Liz, she's been here since 2002 and played ever since. "It's going to be different but it's also an opportunity for some of the other players to step up." The team start their league campaign away at City of Birmingham Force on Saturday before hosting Bristol Storm on Sunday.
