Guernsey basketball captain Liz Kerr has criticised the officials in her side's 59-49 defeat to Taunton Tigers on Sunday. The result leaves the island side lying fourth in English Basketball League Division Two Midlands/South West. Kerr told BBC Guernsey: "There were quite a number of controversial calls, at crucial times. "Taunton were an extremely rough team. Normally you get protection from the referees if there's excessive contact." Guernsey did have some joy from their weekend as they won 73-56 at City of Bristol Storm on Saturday. Guernsey are level on eight points with Bristol and six points behind joint table-toppers Taunton and South Birmingham Bears.
