Jersey's Gareth Callan won two golds in Adelaide

Muzzle loading shooter Gareth Callan has won two gold medals at the World Short Range Championships held in Adelaide, Australia.

Callan, part of the Great Britain team, won gold in the team matchlock and the 100m prone flint rifle events.

It was the Jersey shooter's first golds after he had previously won silver during two decades of competing.

"I've worked damn hard at this and I've finally got what I want," he told BBC Radio Jersey.

"When they actually call you out, you're standing at the top, not second, and they play the British National Anthem, it's absolutely wonderful."
