Jersey shooter Bruce Horwood shone at Bisley on Wednesday as he took eighth place in the first stage of the prestigious Queen's Prize. Horwood was just two v-bulls behind the winner as he scored a 105.14 to head the island side's entry. Andrew Le Cheminant, David Le Quesne and Alex Langley all shot excellent scores of 104 as 13 shooters from Jersey made the second stage. Le Cheminant is the leading islander in the Grand Aggregate in 14th place. He dropped just one shot in the 900 yard Conon Doyle shoot. With just one shoot to go in the Grand Aggregate, Horwood has climbed to 55th overall and Le Quesne to 60th out of the 1,300 shooters.
