Jersey Nomads, St Brelade and Magpies are tied at the top of the newly-named Championship after all three recorded 3-1 wins on the opening day.

St Brelade skipper Nick Azern led his side with the first goal as they beat St Martin/SCF.

Luke Heynes, Darren Quintal and Glen Rayner got Magpies' goals in their victory over St Lawrence.

And Nathan Trevor, David de Abreu and Tony Riley were on target for Jersey Nomads as they won at St John.

Portuguese Club got the other victory of the day, beating Beeches 4-3.
