Trinity and Grouville lead the way in Jersey football's newly named Premiership after both recorded victories on Saturday's opening day.

Two goals from Marc Reid helped Trinity to a 3-0 win over Jersey Wanderers at the Riley Field and to the top of the table on goal difference.

Grouville also got off to an impressive start with a 3-1 win at St Peter.

Mike McParland, Marc Nightingale and Peter Warrell were on target for the Blues with Bradley Russell replying.
