Isle of Man rider Conor Cummins will start Saturday's North West 200 Superstock race from pole position after topping Thursday's qualification.

The 23-year-old finished 1.436 seconds ahead of Dungannon's Ryan Farquhar in mixed conditions at the Triangle Course in Northern Ireland.

Cummins told BBC Isle of Man: "The conditions were very changeable but I felt really good out there."

The Kawasaki rider also qualified fourth for Saturdays Superbike race.

The Manxman added: "I feel full of confidence and the machinery is working great, so fingers crossed I can keep it going on race day."

Meanwhile, fellow islander Chris Palmer will start from third in the 125cc race.

The Castletown rider will start behind William Dunlop and Paul Robinson.
