Cummins claimed two podium finishes at the 2009 TT races

Isle of Man rider Conor Cummins finished fourth in his opening 2010 BSB Superstock 1000 Championship race at Brands Hatch on Monday.

The Team Blackhorse Kawasaki rider was in fine form throughout the weekend and was delighted with the result.

"It's brilliant to get my season underway with a strong result and some good points on the board," he said.

The race was won by Steve Plater with Howie Mainwaring in second and Jon Kirkham completing the podium.

The second round will be held at Thruxton, Hampshire on Sunday 18 April.
