Stoke Potters boss Vasey looks to emulate Stoke City

Malcolm Vasey is hoping to generate great support for the Stoke Potters to get them through a poor run of form and eventually help the club progress.

Vasey told BBC Radio Stoke that the level of support for the club will increase if results improve.

"I want to see people responding to a good Stoke Potters team in the same way they do to the football team," he said.

"If we can put performances together like they do, I'm sure we'll get the same weight of support behind us."

Stoke lost six of their eight group matches in the Premier Trophy and finished bottom of their group.

The Potters begin their Premier League campaign against Workington at Loomer Road on Saturday, and ride in the reverse fixture on Monday, 3 May.

Skipper Jason Bunyan [knee] and reserve Taylor Poole [ankle] are likely to be available for the fixtures after injury ruled them out of the 44-44 draw against Scunthorpe on 24 April.
